Global Forgiveness Day 2019: History, Significance & Theme

The Forgiveness Day in August is founded by the Worldwide Forgiveness Alliance a non-denominational, educational foundation. Again, the Global Forgiveness Day 2019 on July 7, is introduced by the Christian Embassy of Christ’s Ambassadors (CECA). Both the days have one significant theme and aim to uphold: forgive. Hence, no new theme is introduced every year, since the objective of the celebration is clear as the name suggest.

Spiritual traditions and human values embrace the concept of forgiveness as a trait of virtue. Think about how many times your parents forgave you, throughout the time you grew up? All your mistakes do not stop them from showering all their love. Making mistakes are important and are a part of our human journey, while forgiveness allows the growing process to continue lovingly. So, forgive and be forgiven.
